The funeral of Mr.Keerthipala Thenuwara who passed away due to a sudden illness while in the service as the security officer of NCEF, took place on 17.11.2011, with the participation of students, parents and teachers of Buddhist College, Kindergarten and NCEF teacher training institute.These are the some occasions of this incident.
1. The decorations done in the previous night.
2. Placing the body in the special place for the last respect of the children.
3. Performing religious activities.

A traditional almsgiving for more than 1700 breast feeding mothers was held at National Children’s Educational Foundation Premises, in the early morning , before sunrise, according to the custom, on 5th October 2011, for the blessings of His Excellency The President Mahinda Rajapakse, and whole the country and its citizens, and also for the blessings of Mr. Prasanna Solangarachchi, chairman Kotikawatte Mulleriyawa regional council
This massive traditional almsgiving was held under the sponsorship and coordination of Mr. Prasanna Solangarachchi, chairman, Kotikawatta Mulleriyawa Regional Council.
World Children’s Day Celebration 2011

National Children’s Educational Foundation highly celebrated the World Children’s Day in combination with Kotikawatte Mulleriyawa Regional Council. A massive crowd about 7000, including small children were participated. Each child and each pre-school teacher in every pre-school in the area was awarded a gift parcel with the sponsorship of the ex-chairman of the Regional Council.itorium. The kids are on a rehearsal of a drama.
Getting Ready for the World Children’s Day

The National Children’s Educational Foundation is preparing to highly commemorate the World Children Day which falls on 1st October 2011. The Kids of Model Kindergarten and the students of NCEF Buddhist College prepare and decorate the Auditorium. The kids are on a rehearsal of a drama.
