At the inaugural meeting The Ven. Dr. Bandagiriye Somawansa hero Explained the crowd about the objective of this demonstration and emphasized the urgent need of a unique policy for Preschool Education.
Mr. Wimal Sarathchandra, The Director of the Competent Authority for Enacting Preschool Precept welcomed all the Invitees and further described the objectives of the demonstration.
Next the Honourable Minister of Education of The Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka Mr. Bandula Gunawardena made a long valuable speech regarding the future plans for the uplift of the Preschool Education of the Country.

A Large one day demonstration was held for all the preschool Teachers in Colombo District at the Auditorium of the National Children’s Educational Foundation on 20th August 2011, with the cooperation of N.C.E.F. This demonstration was organized and sponsored by The Child Authority of the Western Provincial Council.

During this ceremony, Each representative from each Registered Pre-school in Colombo District was provided with a Green Board worth of Rs. 30000/-. About 900 preschool teachers attended to this occasion.

At the start of the Demonstration and work shop the first lecture was delivered by Ven.Dr. Bandagirye Somawansa Thero. Mr. Sahan Ranwala, The Coordinator of Ranwala Foundation, Miss Irosha Nilmini, The lecturer for Arts and Creations of the N.C.E.F. Teacher Training Institute, Mr. A.P. Nihal The Athletics Instructor of the same Institute, also made valuable Lectures and demonstrations through the guidance of NCEF
Panel Theatre Programme at Trincomalee

The Panel Theatre program and the demonstration for preschool and primary school teachers in Trincomalee district was successfully held on 23.08.2011. by the Japanese educational specialists, with the guidance and directions of National Children’s Educational Foundation
The participation and the support received from Colonel Mr. S.D.Kohona of 22nd Unit Keselthuduwa camp, and from Deputy Director of Education, Western Province, Ms. Fernando, was excellent.
This demonstration on young child education was the first one of this type held in Trincomalee District. The participants expressed ideas that they are well satisfied with what they learnt from this demonstration, and explained the necessity of such demonstrations.
