The Oil Treating Ceremony held at the Mahindaramaya of National Children’s Educational Foundation at the auspicious time of the 2012 Sinhala and Tamil New Year, completed successfully with the cooperation of Rotary club of Kolonnawa and teachers, children and parents of NCEF Buddhist College.

The kids of Tsukiage Kindergarten arranged a welcome ceremony for Ms. Yuki Tosa, the daughter of the donor Rev. Kogyo Tosa. After the lighting of oil lamps by the director Thero the kids presented a dance. Ms. Yuki Tosa thanked the kids.

Ms. Yuki Tosa, the daughter of Rev. Kogyo Tosa of Japan, who is on an special visit to Sri Lanka in her vacation observed the activities of NCEF Model Kindergarten and NCEF Buddhist College.

A team of 51 Muslim Primary School teachers from Denuwara Educational zone of Mahanuwara, central province visited National Children’s Educational Foundation and observed activities of primary classes of NCEF Buddhist College and Model Kindergarten. They also listened to the Director Thero’s Lecture and advises on Primary Educational.

These days a group of 30 adults and children from Jaffna area reside in NCEF premises in Mulleriyawa.

On 12th March 2012 the lecture is being delivered by Director Ven. Badagiriya Somavansa Thero on the Early childhood development at the assembly nearly 1000 parents and Pre school teachers in Nittambuwa Attanagalla division. This workshop was held at the ” Naritasan” hall at Ranpokunagama and organized by the divisional secretariat and teachers of ECCD.

On the 7th day (6th March) They specially visited the Ministry of Education, Twin tower and Presidential secretariat. In the evening they joined to a blessing pooja.
On the 8th day they leave NCEF headquarters to go back to their homes.

On the 4th day of this project they visited National Institute for Mental Health and the Colombo planetarium. In the evening a workshop about personality development held by Prof. Gamini de Alwis of Colombo University.

On the 5th day early in the morning they participated to a meditation program done by Ven. Wajiraseeha Thero under the patronage of Ven. Dr. B. Somawansa Thero. After that they joined the Yoga program done by Prof. Gamini de Alwis of Colombo University. This Yoga program was sponsored by Rotary Club of Kolonnawa.
In the morning they visited Colombo museum. In the evening they also visited Dehiwala zoo.
