Today is the Birthday anniversary of the Director,Ven.Dr.Bandagiriye Somawansa Thero. Kids in NCEF Model Kindergarten and Children in NCEF Buddhist College know it. Each child made a Birthday wish and he or she likes it in a creative manner to express happiness and offered it to the Thero, in the little ceremony held for it. This ceremony was held to reprove the educational and moral levels.

A special asheervada pooja was held for the blessings of His Excellency the President, Hon. Secretary for defence, defence forces, and for whole the country, in view of the external circumstances the country faces now. This was held with the cooperation and participation of students teachers and some of the parents of NCEF Buddhist College and Kindergarten.
This program was organised Countrywide through provincial educational units of early child development and primary Education by the Presidential Advisor Ven. Dr. Bandagiriye Somawansa Thero.

The Annual Maha Pirith Ceremony and Maha Dana of the NCEF Buddhist College and Model Kindergarten was held on 14th January 2012, at the beginning of the new year, with the participation of parents, teachers and children. Pirith chanting was held in the especially prepared and decorated pavilion in the auditorium. More than 50 Numbers of theros participated in the maha dana (Alms giving- Especially prepared food for the priests) ceremony.
The first meeting of the Special Nayake Committee of Sri Lanka Ramagngna Maha Sect
held at the teacher training institute lecture hall, at the Head Quarters of National Children’s Educational Foundation. 20 Venerable mahanayakes participated in this meeting.

The National Children’s Educational Foundation is preparing to highly commemorate the World Children Day which falls on 1st October 2011. The Kids of Model Kindergarten and the students of NCEF Buddhist College prepare and decorate the Auditorium. The kids are on a rehearsal of a drama.

On 27.09.2011. A Demonstration and a Lecture was held for the students of Grades 7,8,9, and 10 of NCEF Buddhist College, about “ Special Water Preservation” by a team of staff of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.

These children of NCEF Buddhist College warmly welcomed the Japanese Envoys who patronize the activities of National Children’s Educational Foundation. These envoys were very pleased about the defeat of terrorism from this country. They were on a visit to search for more information and the ways to help more and more in educational activities.
